The problem
The company books consignments for its own customers, runs a B2B client book and gives franchises to partners across several cities. Everything ran through phone calls, paper and a carrier portal that belonged to someone else. Partners were already trained on a large national platform, so anything new had to feel familiar or it would not be used.
What we built
- Counter booking with printed consignment notes, consignor and consignee address books, and auto summed packet weights
- Zone based freight pricing driven by destination pincode, with rate cards and deliverable pincodes controlled by head office
- A four state order rail plus a delivery exception queue, mirroring the workflow partners already knew
- Franchise wallets, statements, payment modes and invoices, with per franchise optionality between prepaid wallet and monthly invoicing
- A head office super admin showing business per partner, margins and the ability to add, edit or suspend a franchise
- Public partner application form with a document verification queue, where approval creates the franchise and its login
- Public consignment tracking page for end customers
Where it stands
Live on the client's own server with zero open ports, delivered with a full handover document. Partner onboarding now runs through the platform instead of WhatsApp.
Worth knowing
Row level security between franchises was tightened after an internal review found database views could bypass it. That fix shipped before any partner data went in.
